Me
My name is Heather, but most folks call me Babs. I am in my 30′s and loving it. I love to cook, knit, stay in shape, laugh, and take care of those around me. My boyfriend owns our gym, Cincinnati Strength and Conditioning, home of CrossFti Nasti.
Fitness
I believe in balance. I have been a CrossFitter since 2007. Through the years, I have learned to really appreciate different forms of fitness. My other favorite is yoga, specifically Bikram. I do not get to yoga enough these days, but I still practice the moves when I warm up or cool down from my workout. Without the flexibility that yoga has provided, I could have been through some serious injury (I also tend to be naturally bendy). That being said, my yoga practice is better when I am consistent with strength work. Balance.
Stats
I would like to start off saying that I have never considered myself an athlete. I took gymnastics when I was in grade school and trained for competition cheerleading in Texas in junior high school. I have always found myself to be a bit uncoordinated and awkward. CrossFit and yoga have improved my coordination quite a bit.
I am a work in progress and am trying to accept the things I can’t change. And the things I can….well, as long as I continually improve, I am happy. So, here is where I stand….
