Chill Weekend :)

I had such a relaxed weekend. And perfect timing since the next two will be anything but relaxed. Friday, I worked and ran the evening classes for CSC. Then, I got home and picked up the apartment and put together the new bed. I love it! It looks so grown up. It just needs a couple of throw pillows to incorporate some color and texture. Saturday, I got to the gym, had lunch with Steph and Batman, and then met up with Lauren for a coffee and church. I was home by 6:00. I was happy to get some full training in this weekend. It helped me to refocus on my goals. I relaxed on the couch for the rest of the night. Yesterday, I worked on plans for John and chilled on the couch until Stephen got back from his competition in Indiana.

1:30 pm – Bikini Prep

1a. 10 sitting light side laterals resisting on the way down
1b. 10 Sitting leaning forward rear delt raises x3
2a. 10 heavy Sitting alternating side laterals
2b. 10 Sitting rowing for rear delt x3
3a. 15 Knee on bench dumbbell rows for back, both sides
3b. 15 Light Arnold presses x3

1a. 3′s – 5′s – 8′s
1b. 3′s – 5′s – 8′s
2a. 8′s for all
2b. 8′s for all
3a. 20 for all
3b. 8′s for all

Went extra light on 1a & 1b to make sure shoulder would feel ok and it did. 8 was as heavy as I could go without discomfort on 2a. All-in-all things feel really good.

5:00 pm – OPT SHE from 01.07.2013

A. TNG power snatch; build to a 6 rep max
B1. Weighted back extensions 8-10×5; rest 45 seconds
B2. Seated neutral grip DB shoulder press 8-10×5; rest 45 seconds
C1. Heavy russian KBS; 20 unbroken x5; rest 45 seconds
C2. Ring dips; 12 for time x5; rest 45 seconds

A. 90
B1. 40# & 10 Eros for all
B2. 15′s & 10 for all
C1. 53-60-60-60-60
C2. :45 (Started with dips, but didn’t feel good on shoulder. Subbed hand release push-ups) -:13-:13-:15-:14

    • I know. But that’s the way life is right now. Things are busy and I post less. We can’t all be blog superstars like you! I will try to post more often, just for you. :-)

  2. Sorry if I asked this before.. but how do you find it balancing the heavy crossfit-style workouts with the bikini prep? I’m so inspired by a lot of the ladies I see doing the bikini/figure competing, but I just started real Crossfit and absolutely love it, so not sure how the two would work together.

    • A lot of bikini and figure competitors do boot camp workouts, which are kinda like CF. I am not sure what the balance should be since this is the first time I have ever done this. I once googled CF and bikini competitions and found some results. Right now, my CF stuff is strength based, with some cf style workouts. I just add 30-40 minutes of either shoulder or glute/leg work. It is hard work and sometimes a little exhausting, but aren’t all goals. :)
